The TriTra Flame Guard is designed specifically for the Kovea Cube stove, aiming to block incoming wind and prevent flames from escaping. This design improves travel convenience and ease of use with the Kovea Cube stove.
What is different between Flame Guard Design 1 and 2?
Design 1 is solid and is suitable for use with medium to small-sized cookware, such as boiling kettles or pots. The absence of openings is appropriate since smaller cookware already provides space for airflow circulation.
Design 2 features 'triangle' openings, with four vents located on the front and back flame guards. This modification aims to make it suitable for use with larger cookware, such as cast iron skillets, boiling pots, and grills. The addition of 'triangle' openings helps dissipate excess heat, preventing overheating inside, and it also balances airflow circulation during rotation.
As for size, height, thickness, and material, there have been no changes between these two designs. The height remains consistent, allowing compatibility with TriTra Cube grates or the grates that come with the stove. Strength and durability have been maintained without alterations.
